A bold, vibrant cow portrait by Mexican contemporary artist Ivan Guaderrama — printed on canvas and presented in a sturdy wood frame. The cow's gaze is steady and warm, while the brushwork around her explodes in fearless reds, blues, yellows, and magentas — Guaderrama's signature palette-knife energy applied to a tender subject. Just shy of two feet square, it commands a wall.
About the Artist
Born in Cuauhtémoc, Chihuahua, Ivan Guaderrama trained in plastic arts and was four years into his medical studies when he realized art was his true calling. In 2010 he opened the Ivan Guaderrama Art Gallery in the Art District of San José del Cabo, Mexico, where his original works are still created today. He is known for his "Live Texture" technique — combining oil, acrylic, marble powder, and resins — and for pioneering the Interactive Art movement, fusing traditional canvas painting with augmented reality. Guaderrama dedicates part of each year to causes close to his heart, including children, families, and the animals of Los Cabos.
