A pair of hand-thrown stoneware mugs in a soft sage-olive glaze with subtle golden speckling, finished with branch-textured handles sculpted from terracotta clay to look like a real length of wood — bark, grain, and all. Where the body meets the foot, the unglazed clay shows through and grounds the whole piece in warm earth tones. The kind of mug that turns morning coffee into a small ritual.

About the Artist

Dawn Robertson works under the name Petrichor Pottery — petrichor being the word for the earthy scent that rises from the ground after the first rain on dry soil. The name fits: her pieces feel rooted in the natural world, from the branch-shaped handles to the way the glazes echo moss, stone, and woodland green.
