The dimensional layering feels especially fitting for these beloved Meishan pigs, whose soft folds and many layers made them so visually distinct.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThis piece is especially poignant for the Garden Houses gallery. When Odd Man Inn arrived in TN in 2021, we found Chicory and his brother Aster blind, emaciated, and already carrying the painful effects of prolonged sun exposure and skin cancer. Since then he received extra meals, careful sunscreen application, regular veterinary care, and the kind of daily attention that vulnerable sanctuary residents need to live safely and comfortably.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eAfter nearly five years of being loved, protected, and babied by his Odd Man Inn family, Chicory passed away due to the secondary effects of squamous cell carcinoma.
