Inspiration - I’ve always been a maker.
For as long as I can remember, digging into the crayons, markers, paints. Emulating my mother and grandmother, whether it be painting, sewing, crochet, knitting, quilting, ceramics or cross-stitch. Creativity was always encouraged!
Motivation - I have discovered a passion for helping the voiceless and discarded. It brings my heart immense joy in being able to help OMI raise the funds they need to continue their fantastic work.
After a long pause upon graduating from college, I picked up a paintbrush again in 2019. This time in watercolor and gouache. When my grandmother passed away in early 2020, I inherited much of her painting supplies (she was an avid artist!). Then the pandemic of 2020, and I took a deep dive back into acrylic painting. Digging into my grandmother’s supplies tapped into that connection I had with her, in a time that was filled with so much uncertainty.
My wish is to share art with others, to make original art more easily accessible and attainable. My hope is that the my original art pieces bring others the same joy and happiness that I experienced in creating them!
