Artist Bio

A passionate vegan and devoted animal rights activist, April (@aprilgracebaker) is renowned for her culinary talents and her incredible vegan treats, with her delectable fudge being a standout favorite. But April doesn't stop at indulging taste buds; she is also an avid crafter, skillfully crafting a wide range of products, from canvas totes to aromatic wax melts.

The best part? All proceeds generated from her store–not just the profits–go directly to support the welfare and protection of animals used in the food industry.

April's journey towards veganism was catalyzed by a transformative trip to Spain in 1989. Witnessing the stark reality of the meat industry, where animals suffer openly, not hidden behind slaughterhouse walls, she returned home a vegetarian. As she continued to learn more she became a dedicated vegan.

In her free time, April enjoys cuddling with her rescue dog, Mickey, and, alongside her husband Mark (@wcoastvegan), she has transformed their property into a wildlife haven, providing sanctuary to a host of precious creatures, including squirrels, raccoons, deer, and even a bear named Chip!
